ご挨拶

アートキルト教室を「アート名古屋 school」のキルト部門で教室を開催いたしました。

＜キルト作品を芸術として表現する＞

キルティングされた芸術作品は、一般に、ステッチによって一緒に保持された2層の布として定義されます。

ほとんどの場合、ポリエステル、綿、ウール、またはシルクで作られた中間の中綿層も組み込まれています。

キルトは伝統的なキルティング技術に端を発していますが、キルトのアーティストは現在、
絵画、染色、スタンピング、つなぎ合わせ、コラージュ、印刷(多くの場合、布に印刷された写真を組み込む)、アップリケ、その他の複雑な布のプロセスなどを　使用しています。

A quilted work of art is generally defined as two layers of fabric held together by stitches.

Art Quilt “Creative Quilt”
Art quilts are created using a completely different method from the commonly known quilts. By bringing in light from the back side of the quilt, the unique mood created by the light passing through the fabric is expressed, and he uses advanced techniques that cannot be expressed with Hawaiian quilting, patchwork quilting, or stained quilting methods. 【ナイトグレートハーバー】
画家　伊藤氏の描いたカリブ海の絵　「ナイトグレートハーバー」　の作品に出合い魅了されました。その作品をキルトで表現したい、作りたいという強い思いを伝え快く承諾していただきました。
作品が完成するまでには大変難しく約三年という時間を要す事となりました。
この「ナイトグレートハーバー」はアート作品として世界最大級のキルトコンテスト、ヒューストン国際キルト展で入選いたしました。

＜Night Great Harbor＞

I was fascinated by the Caribbean painting “Night Great Harbor” by artist Mr. Ito. I expressed my strong desire to express this work in a quilt, and she gladly agreed.
The work was extremely difficult and took about three years to complete.
This “Night Great Harbor” was selected as an artwork at the Houston International Quilt Exhibition, one of the world’s largest quilt contests.
